Siebel revenue better than expected
Business software maker Siebel Systems, which is slated to be
bought by Oracle, on Thursday, said fourth-quarter revenue beat
expectations, helped by strength across all of its segments. The
company's preliminary fourth-quarter revenue rose 20 percent to
$469 million from $392 million a year ago. The company expected to
post $340 million to $360 million in revenue. The average Wall
Street estimate was $363 million, as compiled by Reuters
Estimates.
