Hey guys, i would really appreciate it if y'all could take some
time to help me solve this qn.
The maximum allowable temperature for a reactor
is 800 K.However, it
is typical to set the operating temperature
at 780 K which is 20 K
below the maximum temperature as safety margin. Recently, a new and
more sophisticated control system allows us
to increase the operating temperature to 798 K with the same safety
risk as for operation at 780 K.If the activation energy of reaction taking place
in the reactor is
200 kJ/mol,
Estimate the percentage of increase in the reaction rate due to the change of operating
temperature from 780 K to 798 K.
