Step made in self-healing spacecraft
LONDON, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Britain's Department of Aerospace
Engineering and the University of Bristol have taken a step toward
a self-healing spacecraft.
"When we cut ourselves we don't have to glue ourselves back
together; instead we have a self-healing mechanism," said
Christopher Semprimoschnig of the European Space Agency's European
Space Technology Research Centre in the Netherlands.
