Bauhaus is the very first art school in the world. Infact, their
structure of learning is still in use with all the art schools in
the world today.
Including my very own school. 
When compared, they are very similar.
The bauhaus pioneered the foundation programme, in which students
must learn all the basic stuff, before getting to specialise in
their theory.
Infact, they were also one of the first to incorporate photography
as a sign of visuall communication. In that sense, art too.
