"Daring Maddy" is a young female undergraduate teacher trainee
from Switzerland, currently here in Singapore for her on-the-job
practicum training, as an assistant teacher in a primary school for
the next three weeks. After the 1st couple of days, "Daring Maddy"
is HORRIFIED at the Singapore Education System. The following is
her YouTube video, uploaded yesterday 19 July 2017.
MY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH TEACHING IN A PRIMARY SCHOOL IN
SINGAPORE
I will be an assistant teacher here in a primary school for
three weeks and will share my experience so far. I would LOVE to
hear what you think about it, if it is always like this or is this
just an exception??? Please help me find the missing puzzle piece.
You always hear such positive things about the education system
here. Singapore is ranked at the very top in PISA tests. How does
this happen, if lessons are so bad??

You feel particularly sad for her because if you check out
Daring Maddy's YouTube account, she was actually really excited for
the past 3 months (in Switzerland) and had been eagerly looking
forward to coming to Singapore to teach.
