Writing is the toughest of all compared to
listening, speaking and reading in any language because it is a
skill that require much training and practices, built upon
knowledge of vocabularies, so-called your word power.
Once you are good in writing, you will be good in the rest like
multiple choice, cloze passage, comprehension, summary,
conversation and whichever ways designed to test your proficiency
level, because you need to read a lot and know a lot of
vocabularies, idioms, expressions and proverbs to be able to write
and use without reference or second thoughts.
If you are still struggling with multiple
choice and cloze passage and all other non-writing tests, then it
will be harder to write and pass. Usually if you could score B for
composition alone, you should score A in the rest of the tests,
when combine, you may still get A for the whole paper, best is A
for composition, then an A for Chinese paper is almost reserved and
secured in advance. The same pattern applies to English
paper.
I am sure you have plenty of compo guide books
for English, I would recommend a new generation Chinese compo tool
