3 weeks to o levels. What to do for maths?

i think do past year prelim papers more useful though, especially papers from better schools, if able to get them cos some papers may have tougher questions...

Counted the marks already..

i count those i got correct answer.. Never count method marks etc.

got 62/100 for overall..

worried bell curve pull me to a D7..

The bell curve wouldnt possibly get you to a D7. Moreover u got 62/100 without counting your method marks which I would definitely say 62/100 is your worst case scenario. At this points there isn't much you can do just focus on the rest of your subjects

I recounted and its at 61/100.. Hope method marks add some up and maintain B4

Be careful of what you count. While you may miss counting method marks for wrong questions, you may also not be sure of scoring marks due to poor presentation or unclear/insufficient workings.

"90+ marks for A1" isn't really true for A Maths. I believe I have read somewhere the actual is nearer to 80 marks for A Maths, 85 for E Maths. Many students lose marks in their presentation of workings unknowingly. Unless your school teacher or tutor has been consistently watching out for you on how you craft and present your answer.......

I counted around 91 (worst case) to 93 marks.... can anyone rate the chances of me getting an A1? (This year people say paper 1 hard but paper 2 easy)

I ran out of space for two questions for paper 1.. i keep cancelling hope don’t minus marks because the working is abit messy. Most of the marks i counted are those i am sure i got the working and answer correct.. not including method marks. so i think its around 61/100.. maybe abit lesser at 58

Paper 1 tougher.

Paper 2 was manageable (or not more towards the easy side).

I flung on the last few qns for P1 due to rushing for time although I finished on the dot.... but jialat liao.... sian.

No one knows for sure what will be the bell curve. Since this year's E math was kind of ''equilibrum'', I GUESS (my own guess, let me re-interate) it will be around above 85 for A1, 78-85 A2 and the rest will stay pretty much the same with perhaps +4-5 marks to it (eg. B4 64-69??).

(Paper 1 was tough, paper 2 was manageable - cited by many students...)

I think A1 is still 90+

but the range for B4 and C5 should be abit bigger as seab want more C5 and B4 compared to B3 and A2.

A1 i think will be very high 80s or low 90s imo since this year papers is quite unusual.

Cancelling and tidiness does not affect your grades in Cambridge marking.

It's not just the working and answers that give you the marks. How you start off, and present your case and argument are also marked. Mathematics workings are ultimately mathematical arguments.

Wishing you best of luck. Focus on the remaining subjects (if any) and don't think about maths anymore. If all exams finish, just forget about it till Jan. Enjoy your holiday!

haha can't stop thinking about it cause it is my second time taking. Must at least get 20 and below..

The bell curve for e math may be slightly lower than last year,which can reach 85 min for an a1 or around there as it is harder.

At least you never take pure sciences,bell curve gonna be crazy for this year,especially for chemistry cos p2 average score is possibly near 70/80

I heard bell curve mostly affect A1-B3 students and C5 and below don't get affect much any truth in that?
