Stomper Linda was devastated
when she noticed that there were bruises on her 11-year-old son’s
arms, legs, shoulder, ears and face.
She
says that the bruises are a result of her son’s female tutor
punishing him. He goes to her house for lessons.
She
added that this is not the first time her son came back home with
bruises but this is the most severe he has been punished.
“My
husband and I were shocked when we saw bruises under his eyes and
all over his body. He usually has marks on him after every tuition
lesson but yesterday was the worst,” she said.
Linda
added that she and her spouse had informed the tutor to not punish
her son months before, but the tutor insisted that that is the only
way he would learn from his mistakes.
She
said: “I heard that she even used the backscratcher and rolled up a
ball of paper and threw it my son. She was highly recommended by my
friends and I even sent my Secondary 3 daughter to her for
tuition.
“My
daughter witnessed him getting punished before but did not think
anything of it since he did not pay attention or did not answer
when asked questions”, she said.
Linda
added that she has been trying to contact the tutor after seeing
her son’s condition. However, the tutor did not respond to her
calls or messages.
“After
seeing my son, we took him to KK hospital. There we were told to
lodge a police report and we did it,” she said.
Linda
added: “My boy is a slow learner and initially the minor
punishments were alright, but yesterday’s were too much. We told
her not to punish him many times but she never listened and she
still hasn’t returned my calls.”
