Coincidentally, my classmates did the exact same
topic 2 years back...
The magnet idea sounds v familiar, along with the spring or rope
attached for safety purposes. If I am not mistaken, it was one of
their groups' "case studies"...meaning there is something like that
in the market already. X____X I hope u guys have your ways of
