Guys, i’ve decided to retake my science. But but… not in the private college i’ve registered.
Its too expensive because with the usage of laboratory.

Is it possible to register in SEAB website even though i’ve registered with my private college?

Does practical play a large part for my overall combined science’s grade?

Please advice!!

When the time comes, your college will register you as a private candidate on behalf of you. You still have time to ask if they are willing to help you admend/and add in your additional science subject during the registration. You will have to speak to the administrative staff from the college and highlight to them that you wish to add in a subject during the private candidate registration but however you do not wish to enrol into their science programme. Communication is key.

Practical weighs 15% on the combine science subject.

[Because you have taken O level science practice before, therefore it is not complusory for you to enrol into science practical programme. If you require help in your practical, ask in the forum. You need to be responsible when you in a science lab. Best is to be prepared before you step into the science lab. ]

Hey guys, I’ve called my Private College.

However i decided not to retake English, since i’ve already passed.

So current i’ll retake: Mathematics, Combined Science and Combined Humanities which I scored D7 for this three.

They will soon send me an email to confirm whether I’m allow to change!

They’re so not efficient.

I’ve called my private college at around 9.30 this morning.
They say will update me on email…. until now… one shit also haven’t receive.

I had already sent them an email just now, if still no reply. I’m going there tmr =.=’‘

Cos can change within 7 days, and tmr is LAST DAY. pfftt.

If you are serious in retaking "O" level, the right choice you should make is to take up the "O" level revision course in ITE : http://www.ite.edu.sg/wps/portal/pts.se.rc , in the past this "O" level revision course is called Best and WISE course until it was replace by Employability Skills System (ESS) qualification as an alternative to "N" and "O" level to be accepted by "other" employers You can read more here : http://app2.wda.gov.sg/wsq/Contents/Contents.aspx?ContId=934 But the "O" level course for ITE remain. Anyway at an public school instead of private school you didn't have to worry that your teacher would be absent from your "O" level class. =)) rolling on the floor

Alternatively you can also take up "O" level class from public organization like CDAC : http://www.cdac.org.sg/eng/programmes/tuition/tuition_programme/secondary.htm . Finally god bess you that you can have have refund back from your private school if you have already pay your fee, cos from my experience, private school are not "professional" in term of education training or business operation, meaning can closed anytime ! &[] gift

If that case i’ll be studying four subjects.
I should have discuss it here in the first place, before registering with them…

then just take 4 subjects ba, no pt paying another 1800++ right, just take english again, u can use ur 2011 english result even u didnt do well this time right.

btw just curious y u have to register so early, i thought private candidate only have to register on the early march?

I register with private college, they will be the one helping me to register.

Add on combine science. A second chance doesn't come easily, and since you'll be studying private, you will need to also include combine science. I'm sure the time table will be set at a comfortable pace for you.

Because the offical SEAB registration have not started yet, you still have chance and opportunity to convince and cajole them to add in another subject for you. If the administrator does not allow you to add, then request a meeting with the manager instead. I'm sure someone at the top is willing to add on the subject for you.

Already started lesson in my private school!

My friend told me that the private O and government O has got their own bell curve!?
Is it true? I thought regardless of private or government, we still share the same bell curves what! O.0 please clear my doubts!

You only attend lesson from private school, their prelim's bell curve is based on the overall corhort from the school itself.

For the actual GCE O level, the bell curve is measured as the total corhort taking O level in Singapore. You will still take the papers in Singapore, but the papers will be sent to london for marking exactly like how it happened in sec sch.
