Im taking my O levels next year and apparently, i am not a A
Maths student.However, I really want to go to a JC.
My friends told me H1 maths is useless, but i only can
take H1 maths in JC because i have no A Maths background. How??
Yepp u can go jc without Amath ....I oso never take Amath but
could still get into jc...but most probably they will only allow u
to take h1 math and you can only take arts stream. That's wad
happened to me this year when I get into cjc. I talked to the sec 1
year head but they could not help me as they don't do case by case
basis...thus it's non negotiable. Even though I wanted to take
science stream(their science stream courses all offer h2), they dun
allow me to take science course as I dun have Amath background
which is a prerequisite for h2 math in cjc. I did not do research
b4 choosing my jc so it is important for you to do some research
about the preresiquites for the subjects the jcs offer.This will
give you accurate info about wad the jc requires of you b4 you can
take the subject...despite their refusal to offer me science
stream, I still want to take it (my desired combo is
h2bio/chem/math and h1 econs)....thus I did some research and found
that some jcs in Singapore-yjc,jjc,tpjc allow you to take h2 math
w/o Amath background. Then I went to appeal into jjc with my
results raw 13 nett 9 and got into the course that I want...you
should take a look at their requirements on their web page. This is
very important for you to noe what course you can take up in the jc
you are choosing. I hope this helps:)
