Retake O level Or Higher Nitec

Hello peeps .

I just received my O level results in school and I scored 29 points .

EL : C6

Maths : C5

Mother Tongue : C6

Art: C6

Humanities: D7

Combined Humanities: D7

Question : I am not sure to retake sec 5s,private O or go Higher Nitec or appeal to go Republic Polytechnic .

I have no problems going to Higher Nitec but I would advise from you people so I can be confident of the choices I've made .I am male and if I defer my National Service,can I take private O's and if so,how much will it cost .

You can retake sec 5 if you want. Private skl like Mdis will be expensive. And you will be called up for Ns if you are not studying full time, chances are will be posted to a xiong unit.

Dear DuoGreed,

If your secondary school allows, you can repeat your O Level in your school. If they don't, then you'll have to go private school, higher nitec or appeal RP.

If you want to defer from NS, you will need to be enrolled into a private school for a full-time o level course. Private schools like BMC, MDIS, citycollege, etc will help you with arrangements to defer NS. Private preparatory course leading up to O Level will cost around $6000 to $7000 depend on the number of subject you take. One point to note, you can't defer if you were to self-study.

If you have an interest in a particular course in ITE, why not go to higher nitec? If you still have not decide which is best for you, then I will say go private and work hard from there again. I may not guarantee you that you can adapt to ITE culture so fast.

I think I'll be going to Higher Nitec since full time private courses are very expensive to me .
