Streaming for Sec 2

Hi, I'm having my streaming and I just wanted advices on what combinations I should take. Here are my results:

Geog---81

Literature---79

History---75

Science (Phy, Chem, Bio)---75

Mathematics---77

English---68

Mother Tongue---54.5

And here are the combinations given:

3e1 & 3e2=

Compulsory subjects-

English Language
Mother Tongue
Pure Physics
Pure Chemistry
E Maths
Add Maths

e1 Combined Humans---

Bio & elective Hist

Bio & elective Geog

Pure Geog & elective Hist (I want to take this, is it the best choice?)

e2 Combined Humans---

elective Geog

elective Hist

e2 offers Pure Literature & POA.

My overall percentage for EOY is 71.9%, will I be able to get into Pure Science classes? Because there are Combined Science classes too, but I don't want to enter them. So I'm just placing the Pure Science classes as my top choices.

I would like to know if elective Hist or elective Geog is better?

Is Pure Geog + elective Hist good?

Among these three electives, which is the best choice for me?--- elective Geog, elective Lit or elective Hist?

Do you think I stand a chance to take A-Maths? Or even get into Pure Science classes?

Please reply as fast as possibe.

Elective History... Test the same skills needed in the Social Studies. If would be extremely useful if you have Elective histroy as your elective. :) The skills you learn in ss and ele his will be complementary and benefial. Understand the series of events that happened during the history~ Unless you have great interest in history, I recommend not to take this.

Elective Geography :) learn about physical and human geography. This is less intense than Pure Geography. In my opinion, I feel that elective geography gives me an insight to see the world and understand what's happening around us.

Pure Geography is very intense! Got many things needs covered in the syllabus.

Yes you do, Your grades tells me you'll be either place in the 2nd or 3rd express class. :)

My suggestion, take the best combination!

seconded, My combi also !!!, actually Sec 2 results does not matter if you were to put in hard work , you still can make it

in fact, i am in triple sc class with sec 2 ave 69.5 %

My maths 57% in sec 2, but for o level got double A1 for both A and E maths

And only 3e1 & 3e2 offer Pure Sciences...

The third class in the express level will be a combined science class, which I'm praying really hard not to get into.

I also have no interest in Biology, een though I'll take it if necessary. I'm not thinking of having a career that involves Bio...

And further more, my seniors have told me that Bio and Geog together is a horrific combi. as both need intense memorizing. Plus I have more interest in Geog so do you think I stand a better chance at taking Geog and elective Hist? To get an A1 for Pure Geog...

Erm... What do you mean by your combi also? you mean you took the combi. that is recommended by Darkness_hacker99?

Cos I'm not really interested in Bio... And my school has only four express classes, Which is e1, e2, e3 and e4...

Based on my results, because I didn't work very hard for EOY, I'm scared to bits that I'll not be able to get into Pure Science classes...

Many people in my school are aiming for e2 and e3... Do you think I stand a chance to get into e1?

Horrors stories that you heard may not be applicable to other students okay? Some like bio, some like geo :)

A good guage to whether you can be place in e1 is your level position in your report book. If you are within the top 30 in the level, there will be a higher chance for you to be in e1.

Express Combined Science class...Most likely it will be

EL
MT
Sci (Chem/Phy) ---- Majority school offers this .
E Maths
A Maths
CH(SS, X)
Elective (Pure Biology, Pure EngLit, PureGeo, PureHis, POA)

Pure Geo, Elective History sounds like a good combination based on what you replied so far!

It doesn't matter which class you go to :) Class assignment are just based on your current merit, which does not determine your future status.

People may think e1 is the Top class in school, but it doesn't matter. You won't want to let this "ranking" to affect your ability to perform. Being in e3 does not mean you are inferior to e1 students.

If you work real hard, you can be top in the class, even top in the whole level! Work hard, smart, and let all your passion fuel your studies. Being in e1,e2,e3,e4 doesn't matter as long as you prove your ability.
