Generally, you will be given an unknown compound and you will be
asked to identify them.
You will do the relevant tests to identify the compound. Tests
like
Cation and Anion tests --> Identification of ions, using
NaOH, ammonium hydroxide, and other chemical reagents.
You may be also required to test for gases --> CO2, Ammonia,
etc.
You will be also tested on your observation skills, where you
need to write down what you observed when a particular reaction is
taking place. e.g. dip the wooden splint into the solution and burn
it over the burnson burner. Observe and record the colour of the
flame.
There may be one or two questions on theory. Like... why do
you have to stir? what is the purpose of heating? Explain in
particle theory why this reaction is fast, etc.
Physics.... must wait for other forumers to tell ya. I'm chem
and bio.

hmmm..sorry but im still not very sure.
will they tell us to use NaOH or NH3 to test? or i
can separate the compound to half and
test using both test? sorry if i sound dumb (i seriously forgot
everything about practical).
can anyone offer help on physics practical..i checked the web
and found nothing related to it.
