Hi Everyone,
Can you teach me how to solve this below:
Million thanks.
Q1)
Nick had a sum of money.
2/7 of it was spend on a shirt and 2 pairs of shoes.
Each shirt cost $21 and 1/3 as much as each pair of shoes.
Then, he spent 3/7 of the remaining amunt of mnoey on computer
accessories.
Finally, he had only $840 left.
How much did he pay for each pair of shoes?
Q2)
In a school, 0.6 of the girls and 0.4 of the boys take part in
CCAs. There is an equal number of boys and girls who do not take
part in CCAs.
If 480 pupils do not take part in CCAs, how many pupils are
there in the school?
"Each shirt
cost $21 and 1/3 as much as each pair of shoes."
Is there something wrong with this sentence? Just by this
sentence alone, we can deduce that a pair of shoes is $63.
