my o level results just came out and i have 12 pts after all the
bonus points.
i want to go to a jc. i went around to the jc open houses. and
yishun jc is the only jc which allows you to take any subject
combination that you want. i like this and am interested in this
school. but the school is a 20 pointer school. so, i was wondering
if the school pushes the students and how is the study environment
like?
Is it a smart choice to go to YJC with 12 pts?
Please reply as soon as possible, any advice is welcome.
Thanx
YJC is a fixed 20 pointer - It will never change. It do little
justice to the JC itself though, not to mention that my alma mater
is often known as the spoon-feed JC.
As for pushing, yes, the teachers do push the students. In fact,
you will often find the top JCs to be the ones who do not pushes
their students and require them to be highly independent. YJC
teachers are often known as some of the nicest and most diligent
around, and you will often hear stories of teachers staying till
9pm+ for their students' sake.
If I am not wrong, there is a forummer around with "O"-level 20
points and ABB from YJC, can't remember who it was.
