(over simplified)

6CO2 + 12 H20 -- chlorophyll / light energy --> 6 H20 +C6H12O6 + 6 CO2

C6H12O6 --> 2 C2H5OH + 2 CO2

2C2H5OH + 7O2 --> 4 CO2 + 6H20

thus total CO2 take in 6 unit, give out 6 unit
