i am not asking this for myself.
if a student choose the triple science subjects, with EM, AM,
two lang, with combined humanity (ss+ elective geo) i am
wondering if she is able to to JC, will she be able to
cope with the geo subject in JC?
Anyone here had done that and coping fine? will the JC1 normally
still kick start such subjects with a quick run
through on the foundation?

For YJC, yes. But the quick run through will be a really quick
one. Can't speak for other JCs, but odds are some of them
don't
I advise your friend to go for H1 Geography, it will tougher
than pure geo at "O"-lvl, but no doubt it will be more manageable
than H2 Geo.
If your friend is doing badly for combined humanities now, you
may want to advise her to take econ as her contrast "A"-lvl subject
instead.
