the original equation is y=Ca^-x
i have rearranged the equation to
lgY= -lga X + lg C, plot lg Y against X
m, gradient= -1g a, and y intercept= lg C
for (i) how to know each reading of y is abnormally large?
(ii) my answer is A= 1.778 and C=100
(iii) my answer is x=8
do help to check the answers for all as i am not sure,
thanks!
Too lazy to help you draw a graph and check. : D
For (i), as SBS said, draw out the graph and you should see one
point which is very out of place, with the rest being on the best
fit line or close to it. That is the anomaly.
For (ii) and (iii), by right, you should estimate, but lets just
be truthful, which one of us won't cheat and draw out the graph to
find the exact answer? : D
