NJC fluctuates between 6~9, but doesn't goes any higher than that.

As for RJC, it hasn't changed from 6 since I last heard of it.

Rly? I heard RJC is 4 pts, and NJC is 5pts

That is with bonus points deduction.

And since you know it already, why ask?

I wasn't completely sure. Anyway, do the arts streams in the two schools have a higher cut off?

RJC, no. NJC, most of the time, but not every year.

Wow that sux. Any chance of entering RJ with 4 pts on arts? Btw will the school look at your total number of A1s or just your L1R5 score?

L1R5 only. The rest they will only look at it if you are taking related subjects.

4 points on art should be good enough to enter already. Don't need to fret too much.

You can also talk to eagle, as he was from RJC, though that was many years ago.

Ok thanks. So its means even if you get 8-9 A1s its no diff from the guy who gets 6?

If you got 11/12 it probably does since your face will be plastered all over newspaper.

Less than that, I don't think so.

Btw do schools still allow guaranteed entry based on prelims before the o lvls begin? Specifically the 2 JCs mentioned earlier.

Prelim results do not guarantee you a permanent place in JC, even if you get 6 points for it. If you got crappy results for "O"s, be prepare to pack your bags and say sayonara.

On the otherhand, if you got in through DSA, unless you get more than 20 points, it is near impossible for the school to kick you out.

if u hv a strong CCA track record to back up, especially sports, many JCs will be fighting to have you, i.e. coming in first consistently in track and field etc

Well, that is where DSA comes in...
