what is it specifically you dont know?
Yah the 3 hardness test got different hardness scales and have
different types of punch shapes and diameter. so?
You need to put the scales side-by-side if you want to know what 1
scale value is to the other. And the hardness value is of what
units, and how to calculate properties like even modulus from the
indentation etc.
Got many stresses in the stress/strain graphs, e.g. ultimate
tensile stress <=== this one is only on the engineering
stress/strain plot, then there is the true stress/strain VS nominal
or engineering stress/strain. True stress/strain is where its the
instantaneous value of stress with consideration of necking or
reduction of cross-sectional area, where engineer stress do
not.
Then there is the yield stress, fracture stress, etc. yield is
when the material deforms plastically, while fracture/fail stress,
the value of stress where the material totally detaches and fails
by coming apart.
WOOHOO!!! YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!
nightzip mind giving me your handphone number? haha i want to
sms you... cus i have not study yet, and i'll only have question
when i study lol
