why is the periscope which uses prisms better than one which
uses mirrors? does this have anything to do with total internal
reflection?
not really total internal reflection, but there will be some
reflection within the glass of the mirror, and hence result in a
less than ideal image as compared to using a prism
in short, the reflection from the mirror is not as sharp...
