I remember some teachers mentioned A1 won't be so high because they are a lot of normal stream taking the same paper with us, so they will pull down the grade (not all of them of course, some are really good).

Don't worry man, as long as your total marks > 88%, you're quite safe for A1.

i got different form the answer

1a) 7(p-2) / p (simplify?)
7a(ii) 766 (3 sig fig)
10f(ii) a= 0, b = -22, c = 10
10(iii) Gradient of curve is more gentler
10b(i) (i draw something like the tic tag toe)
10b (a) 1/5 (b) 2/15 (c) 0 (d) 3/5

are these correct?

(i) Draw probability tree

(ii)
(a) 3/6 * 2/5 = 1/5

(b) Sum is 8, you have (2,6), (3,5) (5,3) (6,2)
So, 1/6 * 1/5 * 4 choices = 2/15

(c) 7 is a prime number, so only factors of 1 and 7
Probability is zero

(d) Ans = 1 - P(no mulitple of 3) = 1 - 4/6 * 3/5 = 3/5

I made a careless mistake. You're right for the last one. I used 2/3 * 4/5, instead of 3/5 :( Careless careless!!! :(

I'm quite confident for Paper 1, think I didn't lose more than 10 marks for that. Haha no la, I know it won't be that high but losing 10 marks for this paper (assuming eagle's solutions are correct) undermines my confidence!

omg are u serious!?!?!?? im so sick of what i did with my math p2 right now plz bring me some good news. literaly slapped my self in the bus once i completed the circle qn since i didnt do it due to confusion and panic in the exam hall

for me, -1 for probability diagram, -1 for last qn, -1 for not timesing 12 to the volume of pencil. -1 for writing qn 7iv) after qn 8(wonder if this is wrong. i did put a note that the answer is in next next page)

so total minus -4 ish 96 of course if you count in the careless, can be around -10 total at most.

yes. or at least tats what i percieve to be. it was moderately indirect. I rearranged it and got A=0 cos there is no Ax inside.

btw they gave you the extra line to draw and use it to ''solve'' a weirdo equation.

Yup, we were asked to draw another graph. That one was no problem. Then we were told to find the x-coordinate of the intersection point, and the question says:

"This value of x is a solution of the equation x^3 + Ax^2 + Bx + C = 0. Find the value of A, the value of B, and the value of C."

Btw, my x-coordinate was x= 0.45.

-1 the values of A,B and C, don't know how to do. Haha.

Frankly speaking, even though this paper is manageable, you have to admit that the steps to the answers are rather tedious, and takes up quite a lot of time. Usually I always have spare time for EM, but I finished on the dot this time.

But then there's only 1 solution from the graph we get.. because from what I know if there's 3 values straightaway (x-a)(x-b)(x-c). But only one, how to do uh?
