Questions

(1) Factorise x + x^2Y^2 - 1/(xy) - y

(2) Factorise completely 4x^2 - y^2 + 4y - 4

(3) Without using a calculator (Hint : use factorisation),

find the value of (88888)^2 - 88895 x 88881

(1) x^2(1/x+y^2) - 1/y(1/x+y^2)

= (x^2-1/y)(1/x+y^2)

(2) (2x)^2 - (y-2)^2 = (2x+y-2)(2x-y+2)

(3) let x = 88888

x^2 - (x+7)(x-7) = 49
