Initally when i read it, i read as "scotland nurse wounded on plane.." as in a nurse got wounded..

Then i read the content of the link..it is about players in the team are bunch of walking wounded players..

Then i tot about it, did soccernet posted a grammer error title ?

or shd they use " Scotland's nurse wounded on plane " ?

in this instance the word nurse functions as a verb instead of a noun. the word wounded is a noun instead.

nurse the wound : treat the wound

nurse: mee cee ar....the nurse....

and the way u spell your grammar.....grammer...hahaha....

There is a comma missing as in "Scotland, nurses wounded on plane to Georgia" (and yes, it should be nurses and not nurse because Scotland is singular.)
