if ur fren scored B3, from experience, he is gd enough in his
compre and stuff, but nt gd enough in compo.
usually for chinese, i will encourage pple to write arugmentative
topics. because for short stories essay type of topics, u need lots
of vocab and gd idioms to "win" the teacher's heart. and dun forget
many China students are taking the paper too, and usually their
strength is in short story topics, so i will usually encourage
local students to write abt those "bao zhang bao dao" topics, as
those China students wouldnt be too familar in wads happening in
Singapore.
