4th May, Singapore: Singapore Bowling is tapping on home-grown
talent to coach the National Team. It has officially named Mervyn
Foo, William Woo and Henry Tan as the new panel of National Head
Coaches.
Each coach has different specialties. Mervyn is a good
communicator, William is a sound tactician and Henry is a good
technical coach, said President Jessie Phua.
The coaches will work together as a team and base decisions on a
collective agreement. It is like having one animal with one heart
and six hands, said Henry.
Henry, who has just returned to join the team, boasts an extensive
coaching experience in the region. He has worked with Indonesia and
Singapore, and was even awarded the prestigious title of Coach of
the Year in 1983.
