The below questions is for those who has been bowling for +3-5yrs.

So its more like a experience discussion.....there's No Rights and No Wrongs.

If you have a Kid in his/her teens, who's showed tremendous potential in bowling, would you encouraged him/her to give a shot at the national level or even get into the National team? why?

Do you like what you see in Singapore bowling scene, as of today?

What you hope to see for the Futures for Singapore Bowling?

What can & should be done? who should initiate?

If its a child we're speaking of, then I have only one answer:

Let them decide. If they enjoy it, they'll carry on. The heights that they may scale in the future should be secondary. Knowing kids, they might give it up even if they are doing well simply because they are no longer interested.

So let them decide. Because nothing makes or kills a sport like passion.

i say go for it, even though bowling may not be as successful in singapore than other countries, we have produced our own talents. Remy ong was it?

Given a fair share of talent/potential and interest in the sport, i think i would very much encourage my child to participate in it... But have to realise that financially, it would be very difficult as serious bowling will really burn a big hole in the pocket.
Equipment, training, transportation...*ouch* another issue of Finance Vs Dream for me Confused
