Former Dreams Come True Member Jailed

Former Dreams Come True member Nishikawa Takahiro (41) was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment yesterday at the Tokyo District Court. The former DCT keyboard player was discovered in possession of stimulant drugs by police in February. This followed a previous arrest in 2002, for which he received a suspended sentence. This time around, prosecutors had sought a 2-year prison term for the two-time offender. Nishikawa's brother presented a plea for clemency, suggesting that he would take part in anti-drugs campaigns. But the judge replied that he should do so after having served his time. Nishikawa left DCT in early 2002 to pursue a solo career, which never took off.

Hitomi Shimatani 22nd single * Double A-Side

Hitomi Shimatani, will be back with her unique style with a new theme song for the anime BlackJack 21. The anime looks ok and so does Shimatanis song, very upbeat. Looking like Garnet Moons upbeat-ness and Falcos musical construction, this is one of the strongest Shimatani songs in a while.

The new single is called Destiny - taiyou no hana and will come with a DVD! For the very first time, a Shimatanis cd will come with the PV in a DVD. The b-side is also a theme song to the TV Tokyo series Wednesday Mystery and its called Koimizu - tears of love, that Shimatani herself wrote. Both songs got a PV, and both PVs will be in the CD+DVD edition. The single goes on sale on June 21st!
