well, no one expected pool who's been languishing to beat chelsea either. And United always turns up the heat jan onwards....without fail all these years.

Interesting match, i won't be holding my breath that it won't end in defeat though.

Chelsea had one full week of rest and preparation... While United had to struggle against Wigan last night. So United will have only about 72 hrs to rest including travelling back from Wigan and to London as well... It will be tough to get 3 points from this...

But if they have to lose one, between this or the Liverpool match a few days later... Which would you prefer?

Honestly, me choose this one... lol.

Don't know why leh... But if they can get 4 points out of the 6, I will be very happy liao with the way the team is playing at the moment...

the way i see it, the more u play, the more u want it. given these are well conditional players, playing these games shouldn't tire them as much as mentally i guess.

a draw vs blues and a win vs Pools would be nice.

it seems a surety on paper....but in this season's EPL, expect the unexpected.....

Who, me? Rooney protests his innocence to referee Mark Clattenburg

Wayne Rooney will face no disciplinary action for his attack on Wigan's James McCarthy at the DW Stadium on Saturday.

Television replays clearly showed Rooney swipe McCarthy on the back of his head with an elbow after the midfielder had appeared set to block the Manchester United striker's run.

At the time referee Mark Clattenburg awarded a free-kick and, after contacting the official, the FA have been told the official feels he administered the appropriate action, which leaves the governing body powerless to launch disciplinary proceedings against the 25-year-old.

More to follow...

chelsea did not play over the weekend, so they will be geared up for the visit of united, who had 72 hours to recover after their match with Wigan. they are desperately in need of points to stand a chance to retain their slim chance of winning the title. however they needed the points to even finish top 4, never mind the title.

got a feeling chelsea may implode....lol. Of course, utd face doubts over away form still and only 72 hrs rest. So who's gonna step up this wed morning???!?!?!?!?! Hopefully some people from utd.

Chelsea will win this 3-0, Man utd players is too tired, it will be a 3 or 4 goals win for chelsea.

I can't recall United going to the Bridge and win in recent years, so the best United can hope for is to avoid defeat... That I think would be a good result as some have pointed out, United will only have 72 hrs compare to Chelsea's players who had a whole week of rest and preparation...

I think if United can get 2 points or 3 out of their next 2 games... I think it should be consider good already cos with the current injuries... The same few guys are going to play in midfield without much rest... The Carrick, Fletcher, Gibson & 35 yrs old Scholes. Let's hope they can get something out of tonight's match.
