Is the environment at home democratic or communist?

I’ve been thinking about this thought for a very long time. Are we practising democracy at home even though we stay in a socialist democratic society? NO. It may sound harsh but in fact it is so true that we start denying ourselves from facing reality. Everyone has their personal human rights, western families do practice democracy within the family even each child has most of his/her rights. But in Asian families, where on earth is democracy. It feels as though it is run by a communist government which is our parents, no freedom of speech, cant defy tradition...In a democratic society, we are able to exercise freedom of speech. But at home if we try to exercise that against issues like tradition, what do we get? Constant scolding or may be a slap on the cheek if it is really offending. Is this really democracy being practised at home? NO it is total bull shit

Speaking on slapping on the cheek or get whack when one is trying to defend himself, according to the law, we are protected and any slapping can be reported to the police immediately in violation of human rights. Is it possible to file a law suit against our parents? YES we can but why don’t we do it? Do they deserve that much respect? I don’t think so. Think about it over again. The answer is, I don’t think so. Then why do they deserve that much respect? Is it because they are our parents so they are automatically untouchable? This is utter bull shit. Let us take an example of residents and government. In a country, this represents a huge family, the residents being the children and the government being the parents. As one can see the people do not fear the government but the government fear the people. Why is that so, this is because the people is able to crumble the government to bits. If one can apply this analogy into our families, I can say our parents are not untouchable and we can actually file a legal suit against them am I right?

What made things even worst is that when our parents say something and they deny it the next moment. The government does not do that don’t they? Unless it is a morally corrupted government, as you can see in every morally upright government in the world, when they promise some things to the residents, they do not back out last minute and say oh no we decided it is not worth it. Some policies they implemented take a longer time or delay due to financial problems but do they back out? NO this is because if they back out they will face some unforeseen circumstances even if they want to back out, they will need to give an absolute good answer to convince the public unless it is run by a communist government. Do parents do that? NO, and it proves again that our families are more communist based than democratic

Before I end of this topic, I would like to touch on the topic of giving back our hard earned money to them. This topic is based on how kind we are to give back and it cannot be controlled by our parents. Our parents will always demand us to pay them back when we work; I have a big problem with that. It is because this act is voluntary and not something to be asked upon us to do. I can close one eye if they keep insisting us on giving back but what really makes my blood boil is the percentage of our remuneration to give to each parent that is demanded by them. Is this reasonable? Absolutely not, imagine giving away 20% to each parent and a fresh grad from universities barely earns $2500 a month, by giving 20% each and after CPF deduction, we can barely save, pay insurance premiums, survive and spend on ourselves! This is outrageous!!

Now I would like to conclude that Asian families are communist driven and no democratic driven.
