Mystery Club Enter Battle For Wigan Winger Antonio
Valencia
.
The Latics have confirmed that a unnamed third party has entered
the race to secure the signature of their star wide-man.

Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has stated that a
third party is now involved in the Antonio Valencia saga, but the
source has yet to be named.
It is expected that the Ecuador international will end up at
either Old Trafford, or find himself within the lavish confines of
the Bernabeu.
Liverpool had also involved themselves in the race to sign the
winger, as Rafa Benitez looks to strengthen his wide options for
the title charge next year.
Whelan had been quoted as saying Valencia would join Manchester
United within the next two weeks, but reports from Setanta claim
that the mystery new party could throw the whole deal up in the
air.
Whatever happens, the Latics stand to make a huge profit on the
23-year-old, who had signed a four-year deal with the club in the
winter of 2008.
