This Barcelona team is good considering they have Dan Alves suspended and Abidal suspended .

Arsenal Vs Barcelona should be a dream final in 2006, but cos of the sent off, Barcelona got the advantage.

But the Arsenal now is weaker then the Arsenal of 2006, as that time still got henry around.

Both like to play its passing game and possession football game. if Barcelona buy Febregas from Arsenal, Barcelona midfield is the best, with 3 of the midfielders bossing the midfied, Xavi, Iniesta and Febregas. awesome spanish midfielders.

Spain should be favourite for 2010 world cup liao.

how many of you here, had a bad start to your day today?

how many took urgent leave and how many took mc today, didnt feel like going to work?

I was on leave today, but were moody for the rest of today lar. other than that I was alright, just sleeping almost the whole day today. Maybe its the curse of the holders unable to retain the title after they have won it.

time to move on and see what fergie bring in new players in the off season. hope this will spur them to greater glory next season.

I hope next season, players will learn to keep their mouth shut, lest it comes back to haunt them and eat humble pie. what comes arounds, goes around. let the talking done on the pitch, not newspaper!

Sir Alex Ferguson has dismissed any suggestions that his hunger to win the Champions League has been dented by the defeat against Barcelona.

The Manchester United manager was visibly angry and dismayed by his side's inability to cope with the possession football of the Spanish champions in the 2-0 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico.

But the famous 'hairdryer' was just as much in danger of being trained on one brave journalist who asked Ferguson to give an assurance that the determination to win more prizes still burns within him.

Ferguson responded with a steely glare before saying: "I don't understand that question on a night like this. I don't know why you're asking me that question. It's a b***** stupid question."

I think in the whole match for manutd, c.ronaldo was the only one doing the attacking.

no midfield support la, Xavi and Iniesta running the show. our midfielders did not turn up, hopelessly outclassed. the strikers no support at all. Man Utd need to overhaul its midfield and need to bring in midfielders like Gatusso, Pirlo, and the roma midfielder, whats his name?

de rossi?

yes derossi. should get him

marcteng SG

who are the world’s top midfielders in the world now?

Kaka, Essien, Lampard, Gerrard, Pirlo, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Ronaldo

rememeber when RM trashed Man Utd in the QFs of the CL, with Zidane, Figo running the show in midfield.

Man Utd need to go and buy world class midfielders to boost the midfield like De Rossi, Pirlo or Kaka. Go buy kaka and Man Utd midfield will be great.

Fletcher, although he is full of running and stamina, he isnt world class like makelele or essien. Carrick, he is not tough enough to be holding midfielder. Owen Hargreaves injury prone. Anderson, he is still learning his trade, thats why the inconsistency.

Utd's used to be Scholes.

But now it's impossible to find a player with vision like Scholes.

i just felt some MU players last night lacking some desire and hunger ..maybe Xavi and Iniesta more hunger for the cup .

Really good for English soccer , a wake up call .

English teams not so dominance afterall . Spanish teams can be equally good .

With this Barca's win , it created a belief in Spain , that their countrymen can in fact win in Europe .

They can only be better .

It's goodbye to those Italians ... now it's the Spanish !!!

OK ma MU midfield ... u have Hargraves , Fletcher , Carrick , suppprted by flankman Ronaldo , Rooney and that italian young man in the forward line , can ma .

It's the defense .... especially MU left side slot ....

Evra has been the weakest link thru out the season .

True ?

I think the trouble with the current lot is they lack a real character who can lead naturally. When things are going well, they flow smoothly. When things start getting a little challenging, there just isn't anyone to lead the way.

This is borne out by the simple fact of how the captaincy seems to be shared on a rotated basis (honestly, I don't even know who the hell is the captain anymore - it seems to work on a de facto basis in terms of seniority based on the starting XI).

Yesterday's match bore an uncanny resemblance to so many past failures (think Milan 3-0 two seasons back) where they just succumbed without much of a fight. United can do with a real leader as they had in abundance in the '99 side - Keane dragged United back from the dead against Juventus, Schmeichel was inspirational in the FA Cup semi-final replay against Arsenal.

You just can't buy those qualities...
