In other news...

VDS clinches the Golden Glove thanks to Robbie Keane's goal against Liverpool.

Anelka pipped Ronaldo to the Golden Boot tho.

agree, seems he is quite crisp in his tackling.. but gibson also good, willing to shoot like scholes.

Whatever the case, Boro and Newcastle cannot blame Fergie for any reason at all for their relegation..... not after last night's win over their greatest relegation rival.

The Man U 2nd team played pretty well IMHO, albeit with some (understandable) rough edges.

If the first team was a battery of 155mm guns, then last night's team was still a platoon of 120mm baseplate mortars.

iceFatboy SG

seems the GK wasn't too sure about commanding the area, and got alot of tongue-lashing from GaryN.. hmm, also, Welbeck seems silky when he got space to run into..

erm why is anelka getting the Golden Boot? Both him and CR have 18 goals right?

Dead_Man_Inc SG

anyway the weaker side that fergie field won against hull, so i guess newcastle can't complain much

Gibson is those attempt 10 times, on target 1 that kind.

After that goal you see how many rugby punts he did.

If Newcastle had just held Villa to a draw, Hull would have been kaput.

Seriously, it was only the incompetence of Newcastle that saved the day for them in the end. If they continue to play like that next season, then they fully deserve to be relegated.
