Park Ji-sung claims forward Carlos Tevez is the best player at
Manchester United but rotation is the Achilles’ heel of the
Argentine.
Tevez does not expect to be a Manchester United player next
season due to the protracted negotiations over a possible permanent
deal and his limited starts.
But Park sees Tevez as the perfect impact player with the
Argentine having stormed off the bench to crucially reinvigorate
Manchester United performances on a regular basis this season.
The South Korean believes manager Sir Alex Ferguson has the
balance just right in order to keep his players fresh and not
overstretched which Tevez must come to grips with.
“Every player has a different mind,” Tevez said in The Sun.
“Some want to play every game, some want to be at a big club and
just help the team but they accept how big the squad is and their
role.
“If he doesn’t like his role then he can move but if he can
stand that, he can show his ability on the pitch and get more
chances.
“It is down to a player’s mind. Which one is the right way?
There are no answers.
“Man United has a lot of players. Someone can’t play every game
in one season because it is too hard. You need rotation, otherwise
you will be tired.”
There is strong possibility that Park will start the Champions
League final in Rome on Wednesday and Tevez will be on the bench
once again.
This situation is of little consequence to Park who was left out
of the squad which dramatically beat Chelsea in a rain-soaked
Moscow a year ago.
“It was the biggest disappointment in my career so far. I’ve had
crucial injuries but this was the hardest thing,” added Park.
“All players want to play in big games like the final. So if you
have the chance and then cannot play, it is heartbreaking.
“You just have to get over it and believe that the next time or
in the future you can do something.
“I used it as a motivation. I believed United could get to the
final again and I wanted to be there this time.”
