Paul Stretford will begin a nine-month ban from
football agent activity on Monday after abandoning legal action
against the Football Association.
In 2008 he was fined £300,000 and banned for 18 months after
being found guilty of seven charges over how he came to represent
client Wayne Rooney.
"We have received notification from him that he has withdrawn
his arbitration claim, " said an FA statement.
"He will be suspended from all agency activity for nine months
from 4 May."

In July 2008 Stretford was found guilty of seven out of nine
counts he was facing, relating to how he acquired the right to
represent the Manchester United striker, and making false and/or
misleading statements to police and in court.
At the time, Stretford described the verdict of the independent
commission as "a travesty" and vowed to appeal, with the ban - half
of which was suspended - not coming into force until any appeal had
been heard.
In December 2008 his appeal was rejected, and he decided to go
to arbitration, delaying the ban once again.
