I talked to Benitez on the phone and he told me he's going to use the 1-2-7 formation, all out attack. He told me for Man U's attack, he only need 1 defender to stop them. I think he is right. Rooney, Berbatov, Ronaldo, and Scholes. Only 1 defender is needed. He told me maximum concede 1 goal. And minimum Liverpool score is 4 goals. Well, I think I better tell Ferguson about this. He is my good friend after all. He gave me a 620 pounds whisky as a gift last year, when I was in England for talks with Man U over my future appointment as manager. Well, now I am just waiting for Alex to retire.

seriously, are u really on drugs?

Ryan: This is the one

Ryan Giggs has been involved in 36 previous United-Liverpool battles but he says this one could be the most important.

Victory on Saturday lunchtime would put Sir Alex's men ten points clear of Liverpool and Chelsea, while Rafael Benitez's side are desperate to keep their title hopes alive.

This fixture already has a kick to it, but with the implications the result could have on the title race there is even more focus on the outcome.

"There’s a lot riding on this match," Giggs says in the Liverpool edition of United Review. "If we win they’ll find it very difficult to catch us, but if they win then they’ll feel they’re right back in the race. It’s a massive game for both teams.

"It's right up there with the other Liverpool games I've played in," adds Giggsy.

"Liverpool have made great progress this season and have got a lot closer to us than they have been in recent years."

United were used to playing second fiddle during Liverpool's domestic dominance, but those roles have been reversed in the Premier League era. This season, both teams have locked horns as genuine title contenders.

"Over the years there have been more important games in terms of the title race – games against Chelsea and Arsenal, perhaps," says Ryan.

"But I believe the biggest game of the season is always Liverpool. That’s the game you really know you have to perform in because if you don’t you won’t win. It’s that simple."

What is the time difference between here and England?

About 10 hours more to the big match, but I cant wait. At the theatre of dreams, Man U will realise that their dream is slowing turning into a nightmare. Hehehe..

skythewood SG

best is champions league draw with liverpool, than will see the nightmare

I belief Liverpool will want this match more badly than United as it could end their chance of the Premiership title... In other words, they are desperate for it and will go all out in this one...

United have to be patient for this game... Pool will defend really well in the first half, as a unit, they all work for each other... Wait for the 2nd half and if the score is still 0-0, Pool players will really get desperate and will start to throw everything forward leaving space behind for United's quick counter-attacks...

My thought is... United have not lost at OT this season. Played 13, won 12 in the league... So Pool won't be taking 3 points from them tonight.

2 - 0 to United...

Just my personal thoughts lah... Razz

One thing if United can get anything out of this match is... They have to match Pool's style of play and that is... Speed with speed, get really physical with them as Pool usually employs their "rush and chase" tactics when they play with more skilful teams...

More skilful European clubs have not been able to do well against this style as they seldom come across it... It makes them nervous... That could explain why English clubs are more able to handle Pool's style in the CL. To counter this style of play, United have to pass the ball around real quick to make their "rush and chase" tactics not that useful... Hope Paul Scholes don't play tonight as he is too slow for this game...

Gerrard and Torres usually don't do well against United, so lets hope it continues...

Man United's line-up looks like Fergie is going for the speed and physical game. I guess Pool is going with a 4 - 5 - 1 formation...
