They better present tevez with a contract once he gets back to OT.

Another late match!

I worry for this match... Cos of their CL match against Inter on Wed, Fergie may have to rest a number of his first team players to keep them fresh for Inter... And this being an away match... It could be very difficult.

I thought had Fergie rested some of his players last night, they might not have won at Newcastle. And Ronaldo and the defense seem to be playing too many matches lately without any rest... Why is Brown and Neville still not back yet to help out?

zocoss, you watched yesterday's game against newcastle?

No time to rest til inter match is over...

evans should be back... rafeal is gone le... maybe his twin brother can help

yup... why?

it seems brown has been out for a while while Gary needs longer time than usual.. of the two, i prefer brown, cause he doesn't compromise and will not take any handy panky.. tough nut..

winning this will drive one more nail into the coffin..

I think this game is critical as SAF will use this to give his important players a good run out ,get a quick result and then rest his key players..

Brede Hangeland is undaunted at the prospect of shackling Manchester United's rampant forward line as he plots a dramatic FA Cup upset.

Fulham meet United, who have serious designs on completing a remarkable quintuple, in their quarter-final tie at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

As Fulham's key defender the towering Hangeland must contain the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov and Carlos Tevez. But Fulham's last-gasp 1-0 Barclays Premier League defeat by Hull has taught Hangeland that smaller sides can prevail against all the odds.

"I'm never scared by footballers. I respect good players and United have about 20 of them so we'll have our work cut out," said the Norway captain. "But it's football. You saw against Hull that the weaker team can win and maybe that can happen again on Saturday.

"Of course United are a top class team. They must be the top team in the world right now. "But we're more confident at home and play better at home so we have a fair chance."

United had a hand in Hull's dramatic victory with Manucho, on loan from Old Trafford until the end of the season, pouncing two minutes into injury time to snatch all three points. Fulham should have been out of sight midway through the second half but missed a host of chances and Hangeland admits the result was a blow to morale.

Fulham's record at home...

Play 13:

Win - 8 / Draw - 3 / Lose - 2 / Goal score - 21 / Goal against -10

All competitions

Manchester United have won their last eight meetings with Fulham, scoring eight goals without reply in the last three - all Premier League games.

The Red Devils are undefeated in 29 league and cup matches against the Cottagers. They have won 24 and drawn five since Fulham's 2-1 top-flight triumph on 5 September 1964 at the Cottage.

FA Cup

This is the eighth time these clubs have been paired together; United have progressed on each of the last six occasions and have only been knocked out by Fulham in a fourth round tie in West London in March 1908.

will Fulham repeat the 1964 victory?

Nemanja Vidic is not going to spend too much time doing background work on Fulham strikers Andrew Johnson and Bobby Zamora.

By no means is Vidic's attitude a measure of over-confidence from a player who was a central component in Manchester United's record run of cleansheets.

It is more to do with the fact Vidic feels an over-reliance on statistics can affect your focus, which is a point worth listening to given the Serbian is in line to become this season's player of the year.

"I don't really study statistics of our upcoming opponents," Vidic told Inside United.

"There is too much talk about shots on target and things like that.

"Sometimes it can be about luck, other times we do the job well.

"The main thing is that we win games and win trophies. Then we can be proud of what we have done at the end of each season."

I feel this match could be a very tricky one... Fulham have a vey good home record and if United start with too many 2nd choice players... It may not be good enough...

skythewood SG

the midfield and strikers got enough people...

tevez definitely play, ronaldo too.

defense will be the same old people doing.

Breaking team news from Craven Cottage... Winger Cristiano Ronaldo is rested and has not travelled with the Manchester United squad.
