Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that Carlos Tevez could
be set to leave Manchester United.
Despite reports that Real Madrid and Manchester City have shown
interest in Tevez, United had been widely expected to complete a
£32 million deal for the 24-year-old as his loan agreement enters
its final six months.
But, amid speculation the Argentina star is demanding a
£125,000-a-week wage, Ferguson has now revealed United may have to
‘move on’ despite the striker insisting last week that he wants to
stay.
“We will just work our way through it and that’s all we can do,”
he said in the Daily Star Sunday.
“If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, we will just have to
move on.
“It’s unfortunate, but that’s life.
“Carlos wants to stay. He’s happy here. I think he’s actually
said that to the players.”
