3-2 Man Utd wins

zocoss SG

Man United got another match against on the 7 of Jan in

the Carling Cup semi-finals 1st leg... So must balance the players used as Chelsea comes to OT on the 11 of Jan...

zocoss SG

Not to mention 3 days later on the 14 of Jan, Wigan come to OT... And another 3 days later on 17 Jan, United go to Bolton...

So this period is very important... A match in every 3 days or 5 matches in 13 days...

Pitot SG

got pros and cons.

bad thing for them to play so many games in a short time.

good thing for us because we get to watch them every 3 days.

TroubledPhantom SG

I believe it will end in a 2-0 win, with Sir Alex using a 2nd string team. Would be great to see Neville and Scholes

zocoss SG

Scholes is no second string player... He is reserve for the big and important matches...

Second string would be...

Ben Foster

Rafael / Evans / Vidic / Fabio

Nani / Anderson / Possebon / Ryan Giggs

Carlos Tevez / Danny Welbeck

Tomasz Kuszczak, Tom Cleverley, Richard Eckersley, John O'Shea, Ji-Sung Park, Darron Gibson, Manucho.

Pitot SG

when can we see fabio play dammit

Sir Alex Ferguson will consider allowing Cristiano Ronaldo to return to Portugal to recharge his batteries before Manchester United’s Barclays Premier League showdown with Chelsea on January 11.

Ferguson has often given his younger overseas players dispensation to return briefly to their homeland during the winter months, with

Anderson and Carlos Tévez back in Brazil and Argentina respectively this week, and now would appear the ideal time to allow Ronaldo a brief rest, particularly given that United’s next two matches are against Southampton in the FA Cup third round on Sunday and Derby County in the Carling Cup semi-final, first leg a week today before they face Chelsea at Old Trafford. Ronaldo may be involved against Southampton, but he is almost certain to sit out the Carling Cup tie.

Anderson, the midfield player, is expected to return to the United squad against Southampton on Sunday, having flown to Brazil after his team’s success in the Club World Cup in Japan before Christmas. Tévez is due back in Manchester at the weekend, having been given permission to return to Argentina for what Ferguson called a “family issue”, but it is not clear whether he will be back in time to figure in the FA Cup tie. “When their parents and families are far away, you have to be patient with them,” Ferguson said.

ok, explains why they were not in the team against boro.

Playing away is different. I think he'll play a strong side with one or two youngsters only.
