Inter midfielder Dejan Stankovic insists his side are not
worried about facing Manchester United in the Champions League
knock-out stages, revealing he prefers meeting the Red Devils over
Liverpool.
The Italian champions lock horns with Sir Alex Ferguson's men in
February for a place in the quarter finals of the competition.
Following last year's shambles against English opposition,
Stankovic is confident of making up for it.
"Manchester? I am not worried. I was scared of facing
Liverpool," Stankovic told Il Giornale.
"Liverpool are a high level team and they have something extra
in Steven Gerrard.
"When you play them you see how he drags the team forward. He is
their leader."
Inter are amongst the favourites to win the trophy this season
even though Barcelona are the front-runners.
"The season is still long and everyone is talking about
Barcelona," continued the midfielder.
"However, we will see what happens in February."
Meanwhile, Inter coach Jose Mourinho has already started the
mind games with Ferguson by claiming he would rather coach the
Nerazzurri over United.
