Sir Alex Ferguson has moved to quell rumours that reserve
goalkeeper Ben Foster could be leaving Old Trafford for a loan
spell at Harry Redknapp's Spurs.
Redknapp had wanted the young England international as a
replacement for the error-prone Heurelho Gomes, but
Ferguson has promptly quashed the speculation.
"There is absolutely no chance of Ben Foster or Tomasz Kuszczak
going out on loan," said Ferguson.
"We have Tom Heaton on loan at Cardiff at the moment and that is
plenty."
Foster would like first-team football before too long though,
and his agent had intimated that the keeper might even consider a
return to Watford and a drop into the Championship in order to play
regularly.
The longer he remains in United's reserves though, the more
likely a move away would seem.
