Gary Neville is set to become a father for the first
time.
The soccer star's wife Emma, 26, revealed the secret as she told
guests at a charity function: "I'm five and a half months gone and
we can't wait for the baby."
It will bring a smile to the face of the Manchester United
skipper, 32, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury since
March 2007.
An Old Trafford source said: "He's not had much to cheer himself
up about in recent times what with his long-term injury.
"But this will be the perfect tonic for him. He will be a great
dad."
Former England defender Gary and Emma now face a race against
time to have their hilltop mansion ready for the arrival of their
child in winter.
The £12million, 12-bedroom mansion near Bolton, Lancs, should
have been ready by June 2007 but has been hit by a series of
building problems.
