Arsene Wenger is ready to wreck Sir Alex Ferguson's
transfer strategy for the second time by beating him to Blackburn's
£10million rated striker Roque Santa Cruz. The Arsenal manager has
already scored over his rival by signing 17-year-old Cardiff
midfielder Aaron Ramsey in a £5m deal.
Santa Cruz scored 23 goals for Blackburn last season after a
bargain £3.5m move from Bayern Munich and figures on Ferguson's
shopping list.
But Wenger fears Arsenal could lose top scorer Emmanuel Adebayor
to AC Milan and has targeted the Paraguay striker.
Eduardo could be involved in pre-season training after suffering
an horrific broken ankle at Birmingham in February. Physio Gary
Lewin said: 'We are are confident he will make a full
recovery.'
