tomsss SG Has anyone came across or have any info on how can this be done? i searched on the net and came across things like getting a 12V DC converter and such... Ideas?
rojak12 SG Ya lah..the car stereo power comes from the car battery mah, DC 12V in most cases. So, in Singapore, you will need to step down from 240AC to 12V DC. Make sure you have the car stereo electrical schematic to wire correctly. Good luck!
veron soh SG i think by the time you get the 12V DC converter, the cost of your 'car stereo' that you want to use @ home will cost you more than a Mini Hi -Fi selling on the market.
tomsss SG Perhaps so, but the idea is to replace a conventional hi-fi with a car stereo unit instead, like trying to bring that in-car entertainment theme right at your desktop table or room. what you do, connect the + and - directly to the batt?
