Manchester United and Arsenal are again
battling it out for the best young talent by going head-to-head for
£3million-rated Demetris Christofi.
Christofi is seen as one of Europe's hottest young
talents. His £800,000 move from ENP FC to Omonoia was a domestic
record in Cyprus despite the fact he is only 19.
With United having lost out on Cardiff's Aaron Ramsey,
boss Sir Alex Ferguson is desperate to beat Arsene Wenger to the
striker's signature.
Christofi has been capped by his country and Omonoia
are keen to cash in on their star man.
United midfielder Chris Eagles is set for a £1m move to
Charlton.
United wanted the deal to be a loan, but Alan Pardew
wants him permanently.
