01:15 AM - (Live) - (Sunday Morning)

Channel 27, Football Channel.

Prepare for some unfamiliar faces for this match as United will be playing their 1st leg CL match away to Roma on the 1st of April...

We could see players like Fletcher, Nani, Park, O'Shea, Kuszczak and maybe even Nevile starting...

Manchester United :

Van der Sar, Kuszczak, O'Shea, Evra, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Hargreaves, Ronaldo, Fletcher, Park, Scholes, Anderson, Carrick, Giggs, Nani, Eagles, Rooney, Saha, Simpson, Tevez, Neville.

Aston Villa :

Carson, Taylor, Gardner, Knight, Laursen, Bouma, Agbonlahor, Reo-Coker, Barry, Young, Petrov, Berger, Osbourne, Carew, Maloney, Harewood, Salifou.

I hope to see Eagles start! AND score!

jonchao72 SG

hopefully they dont get complacent...

iceFatboy SG

with the number of games, I don't think MUFC can afford to be complacent cause the gap is not really that big.

but it will be interesting to see how SAF rotates his players for the upcoming games. (luckily, we out of carling/FA Cup).

IMHO, I still think MU is not strong enough to go for a treble as the squad is not as equipped as the team in 99. Do you agree??

This is going to be a very difficult match... United have many players away on international duties... even their sub players like Park, Anderson, O'Shea, Fletcher... are also away on international duties... Hopefully they will be able to get all 3 points cos Villa isn't an easy team to beat even if they put out their first team...

I guess in Midfield, they may play Scholes and Carrick who are not on international duties... In attack, they have no choice other than Rooney cos Saha is injured again... Tevez is also far far away on international duty...

Normally after an international match, the players are not as good... so this match must be real careful...

Anyone saw this picture that day...

I hope we see NEVILLE!

Anderson pls score :)

Sienx SG

Anderson pls score :)

Pretty hard for anderson to score..as he is playing as a defensive mid...usually...but during the pool game he had quite a number of chances..but was aiming for the sky..lets hope he break his goal scoring duck..

Villa chief stands by strike pair
20080325 15:23 Martin O'Neill says Aston Villa strikers Gabriel Agbonlahor and John Carew are important members of the team even without goals. The Villa boss has moved quickly to hand his backing to his goal-shy forwards, who are in the middle of a barren run in front of goal.

Agbonlahor has seven goals for the campaign but has failed to score since the win at Wigan on December 29, while Carew is stuck on nine for the season following his hat-trick against Newcastle six games ago. However O'Neill insists the pair are still influential members of the side even when they are not putting the ball in the back of the net. He told the Birmingham Mail: "It's not that important for me that our front two fire. With the best will in the world, Gabby missed a chance at Portsmouth, but that wasn't a worry. "All centre-forwards concern themselves about goals, but for me it's not a concern.

Aston Villa midfield star Craig Gardner insists his side can stop United in their stride at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Villa have earned draws at Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal this seaso. He said: “A lot of people are saying we’ll get nothing. “But that’s not the Villa mentality or the way we think. “We’ll be raring to go and will work hard to pick up the three points.”

Villa win against Man U? No chance!

Okie...Villa is a good team but it has not been performing recently...moreover they dun score that more goals.....besides it's at Old Trafford....so conclusion.....Man U will win by 2 clear goals!

i think most internationals are back by now and shud be available for this match.. including Park, Fletcher..

"Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has been ruled out for six weeks with a knee ligament injury.

The 24-year-old played 90 minutes for Scotland against Croatia in midweek, but United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says he faces a spell on the sidelines."

oh no...

zocoss SG

Really disappointing cos Fletcher would have been expected to play during this period with games coming fast and important... A real lost to United especially with his all running style.

bryanw SG

i m very interested in this match
