Worldlybusinessman SG think mid 90s not well known i saw the Miss world pageant back in 1994 where she won, then no news of her. This was the time the internet started to gain momentum, if not for the internet, this gem would not have left india. Through websites she became known to the rest of the world.
Worldlybusinessman SG I dont think she is so famous now as there have been others after her. But i read sometime ago, about 18000 websites dedicated to her and she is still the highest paid actress In a singapore survey she scored 60% votes as the most favourite among the other 9 top celebrities locals prefer.
