BIG-MATCH FACTS

Manchester United defend their unbeaten home Premier League record against a Fulham side still searching for a first away win.

United have lost just two Premier League fixtures this season; Fulham have won two.

Prior to securing top spot in their group in the Champions League on Tuesday, United lost 1-0 away to Bolton. They have not suffered back-to-back defeats in 95 Premier League fixtures since April 2005.

The Red Devils are pursuing a seventh home League win on the bounce against the Premier League draw specialists in Fulham, who've finished all square on seven occasions.

Fulham made their Premier League debut at Old Trafford in August 2001. They twice led the defending champions but eventually succumbed by the odd goal in five, and have only managed to arrest maximum points from the Red Devils once in 11 subsequent attempts.

Yawn half time

scorchio SG

Ronaldo got booked for diving. (replay shows some contact)

Rooney & Tevez fed up with being constantly offside?

Today isn't Tevez day...just can't seems to pop one with so many chances...

IMO, Brown did well?

Evra injure?

How about Ferdinand? After subbing off did not join the Bench. Run straight back to changing room?

Man United 2 - 0 Fullham

Both goals scored by Ronaldo... Brilliant 1st goal by Ronaldo...That strike reminds me of Marco Van Basten..yes..it's that damn good Laughing Another goal from him is a glancing header from a cross by Mr. John O Shea

Yes Yes..Rooney played..can see his struggling with his injury..poor lad..without him, Tevez is like Blanka playing Streetfighter...

I missed the match. Sad
Too tired to watch unearthly hour matches now....so bogged down at work. Hardly have time to come in here and chat too.... Sad

Anyway, great win. Any chance of us overtaking the Gunners soon? I can't wait for that to happen!

Dead_Man_Inc SG

we won! overall not a bad match.

i only catch the second half Laughing .. But did Ronaldo really dive? To me he seems to dive leh. To some maybe its to avoid contact with the keeper so that he won't injuried himself Neutral

anyway, everytime anderson gets the ball, i'm always like so excited to see where will he through ball or pass next

Giggs: We should have had more

United beat Fulham 2-0 at Old Trafford on Monday night but stand-in skipper Ryan Giggs admitted the scoreline should have been bigger.

The Reds missed a string of chances in front of goal as Sir Alex's men carved open a Fulham defence that have kept just two clean sheets all season.

"We were a bit sloppy in front of goal and [Fulham goalkeeper] Antti Niemi made a few good saves," Giggs told MUTV.

"We're happy with the three points but it could have been more."

Cristiano Ronaldo netted either side of the break to score his 12th and 13th goals of the season and Giggs was quick to praise the winger's contribution.

"He's on fire for us at the moment and scoring all the goals. He scores all types of goals, too. He's strong in the air and he showed great technique with his volley in the first half."

Ronaldo was denied the chance of completing his hat-trick when referee Rob Styles waved away what looked to be a stonewall penalty and instead booked the 22-year-old for simulation.

"Everyone thinks it was a penalty and when the referee looks back at it I think he'll know he made a mistake. It is hard for the referee because it happens so quickly and he has to make a split-second decision."
