Mikael Silvestre is still Lyon's choice to replace crocked
captain Cris, according to reports in France. Gabriel Heinze has
been linked with a move, but Lyon boss Alain Perrin is thought to
prefer his fellow countryman Silvestre.
He has made it clear that he will consider a move away from Old
Trafford after eight years, although he recently turned down a move
to Newcastle.
Lyon are apparently hoping that the chance to play in France and
cement his place in the national squad for the European
Championships will lure him home.
